You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multi-combination road trains, working closely with supervisors, fleet controllers, loader operators and other site personnel to meet production requirements.
Duties will include:
- Operating multi-combination road trains in a mining environment
- Transporting ore and bulk materials
- Operating 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes
- Completing pre-start inspections and routine vehicle checks
- Identifying and reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
- Working in accordance with site haulage and traffic management plans
- Maintaining compliance with fatigue management requirements
- Communicating with fleet control and operational personnel
- Maintaining high standards of safety and vehicle housekeeping
What We’re Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Current MC Driver’s Licence
- Previous multi-combination road train experience
- Mining or heavy haulage experience
- Experience operating 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes
- Good understanding of heavy vehicle fatigue management
- Strong mechanical awareness and ability to identify vehicle defects
- Ability to work safely in remote mining environments
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
