Mechanical Fitter

- $80 p/hour + Super paid on all hours

Silverstone is actively seeking a Mechanical Fitter (fixed plant) to cater to our clients’ requirements, this opportunity will commence on contract, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gold processing equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance across gold processing circuits including CIL/CIP, mills, crushers, pumps, screens, thickeners, agitators, conveyors and slurry systems
- Support the planning and execution of wet plant shutdown activities
- Prepare and complete required safety documentation, including JSAs and SWPs, prior to commencing work
- Work collaboratively with Production teams to optimise plant availability and throughput
About You:
- Trade qualified with a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining), Australian recognised
- Previous experience in gold processing or other complex processing environments such as copper/nickel/lithium plants
- High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Crane, Dogging, Rigging) – desirable
- Working at Heights and Confined Space (highly regarded)
- Hold a current, unrestricted WA C Class driver’s licence
- Senior First Aid certified
This role is FIFO ex Perth only. Successful applicants would be required to provide contactable references and be able to meet Pre-employment medical and drug screen criteria prior to commencement.
