Electrical Engineer
We’re looking for a technically strong Electrical Engineer to join an established ASX-listed gold mining operation and provide hands-on engineering support across underground operations, fixed plant, growth and maintenance projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys being close to the operation and wants to work across engineering design, power systems, projects, commissioning and operational reliability.
The Role:
You will provide technical electrical engineering support across a range of operational and project activities, including:
- Electrical engineering design reviews and technical assessments
- Power system studies and analysis
- Supporting underground electrical infrastructure and operations
- Fixed plant growth, maintenance and improvement projects
- Project execution, commissioning and handover
- Providing engineering support to improve plant reliability and performance
- Working closely with operations, maintenance, projects and technical teams
- Identifying practical engineering solutions to support safe and efficient production
- Supporting continuous improvement across electrical systems and infrastructure
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong electrical engineering experience within the mining/resources industry
- Experience using ETAP
- Underground mining experience – highly desirable
- Fixed plant experience – highly desirable
- Proven power systems experience
- Experience with electrical design review and project execution
- Experience with commissioning and operational reliability
- Experience supporting mining growth or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems within an operating mine
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively with site teams
