Underground Electricians x 10

• A variety of Underground Electrician roles are available
• Variety of clients/sites with Underground Gold Mines in WA
• Multiple Rosters Available
• $80 to $90/hr + Super (paid on all hours)
• Or permanent salary 160k – 175k + Super + Bonus + Benefits

Silverstone is actively seeking Underground Electricians to cater to several of our clients’ requirements in the thriving WA mining and resources sector. These opportunities will commence on contract, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. 

Duties:

• Maintenance, fault-finding, and installation of underground reticulation (1000V/415V), substations, switchboards, RMUs, motors, VSDs, lighting, dewatering and ventilation systems
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance on underground mobile equipment including jumbos, production & diamond drills, and loaders
• Installation, testing, and maintenance of RCT tele remote systems
• HV/LV switching, statutory testing (RCDs, earth leakage), and compliance with AS/NZS standards
• Maintaining electrical schematics, logs, and maintenance records

Requirements:

• WA Unrestricted Electrical License
• High Voltage Switching Ticket (desirable)
• Mining experience (underground experience is desirable but not essential)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Sound knowledge of Australian electrical and mining safety regulations
• Strong fault finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
• Strong safety focus and problem-solving skills
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical 
• National Police Clearance within 12 months

These are technically diverse and hands-on roles that will keep you challenged and will lead to a permanent role if you wish. Successful applicants would be required to provide contactable reference’s and be able to meet Pre-employment medical and drug screen criteria prior to commencement.
