Underground Mechanical Fitter

Silverstone are seeking an experienced Underground Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to support an ASX-listed gold miner in the Goldfields. 
 
About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring underground and surface plant are maintained to the highest standards. Safety, reliability, and production efficiency are at the forefront of this role.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair underground NOV and Challenge pumps
• Service, troubleshoot and perform breakdown or preventative maintenance on underground pumps, pipelines, valves, sumps, and associated mechanical systems
• Relocate pumps as underground development progresses
• Maintain NOV and Challenge pump systems
• Perform inspections, adjustments, and repairs to minimise downtime and maximise plant availability
• Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering parts, processing maintenance orders, and recording hours in SAP
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures

About You

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Australian recognised)
• Previous experience in underground mining maintenance, including pump systems and fixed plant infrastructure
• Dewatering experience highly regarded
• Hands-on experience with NOV and Challenge pump systems preferred
• Valid WA manual C Class Driver’s Licence
• Crane, Dogging, EWP, and Forklift tickets desirable
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to pass a pre-employment mining medical and national police clearance
• Full Australian working rights

The Offer

• $80 – $85/hr + Super (paid on all hours) depending on experience
• 2:2 Day Day Shift only roster – FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Kalgoorlie
• Temp-to-Perm opportunity with a supportive, safety-focused team
• Work with an ASX-listed gold miner in the Goldfields region
