Electrical Leading Hand
Silverstone is partnering with a well-established gold producer to recruit an experienced Electrical Leading Hand for a high-grade underground gold operation in Western Australia.
Working an 8:6 FIFO roster, this hands-on leadership role will support the safe and efficient operation of the processing plant and site infrastructure. You will provide technical support across electrical, instrumentation, HV/LV systems and process control, while mentoring the electrical team and assisting the Electrical Supervisor with daily maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support electrical maintenance activities across the processing plant and site infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for HV, MV, LV and control systems.
- Assist with work pack development, risk assessments and maintenance planning.
- Mentor and develop electrical technicians.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, mining regulations and electrical legislation.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and achievement of maintenance KPIs.
- Act in the Electrical Supervisor role when required.
Requirements:
- Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Previous fixed plant electrical experience within mining.
- HV Switching experience.
- WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Current Police Clearance.
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate.
- Strong understanding of electrical legislation, mining regulations and fixed plant maintenance.
- Experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
- Site appointment as Electrical Supervisor highly regarded.
- Cert IV Instrumentation and additional tickets (EWP, Forklift, Dogging, Crane, First Aid) advantageous.
