Join a high-performing mining operation and play a key role in the movement of critical mineral product from mine to port.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with logistics, bulk materials or mining experience who enjoys a hands-on operational role and wants to be involved across the full concentrate logistics supply chain — from stockpile management and product sampling through to road haulage and port operations.

Reporting to the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent, you will support the safe, efficient and timely movement of concentrate from the mine site through to port.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting stockpile sampling and preparing samples using metallurgical laboratory equipment
  • Maintaining accurate sampling, quality control and reporting data
  • Performing concentrate metallurgical accounting and reconciliations
  • Physically inspecting bulk product prior to dispatch
  • Operating forklifts safely to load trucks with bulk product
  • Developing daily haulage plans and weekly forecasts aligned with shipping schedules
  • Monitoring haulage performance, identifying shortfalls and mitigating risks to shipping schedules
  • Monitoring product grade and moisture content to ensure it meets required specifications
  • Supporting product blending activities to maintain required quality parameters
  • Coordinating site logistics contractors and monitoring their performance
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve efficiency across the logistics supply chain
  • Supporting incident investigations and reporting relating to site logistics
  • Providing operational support to the Concentrate Logistics Superintendent as required
  • Participating in occasional after-hours contact where issues arise with haulage or ship loading

Essential Criteria:

  • Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Current WA Forklift Licence
  • Previous experience in logistics, transport or supply chain operations
  • Previous mining or bulk logistics experience highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting the numbers right
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working autonomously
  • A flexible and proactive approach to changing operational requirements
  • The physical capability to undertake hands-on site-based work
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

If you’ve worked in bulk materials, concentrate logistics, haulage, stockpile management, transport coordination or mine-site logistics, we’d love to hear from you.
