We are seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter with underground mining experience to deliver high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs across our gold mining clients underground and surface infrastructure.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring plant and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, keeping safety and the environment front of mind while maximising asset performance.

About the role:

  • Help hit targets by doing regular inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repairs on plant and underground gear.
  • Use your solid maintenance know-how to keep downtime to a minimum and production on track.
  • Service, repair and install underground dewatering and service water pumps
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Install, maintain, and repair underground pumps, pipelines, and associated mechanical systems
  • Relocate pumps as development advances
  • Maintain pipelines, valves and other associated infrastructure
  • Handle related admin jobs like ordering parts, processing maintenance orders and recording your hours using SAP.

About you:

  • Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification
  • Valid WA manual C Class Drivers Licence
  • Experience in Mechanical Maintenance of underground mining fixed infrastructure
  • Previous experience in Maintenance of underground pumps
  • Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift Tickets (desirable)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment mining medical and a attain a police clearance (12 months)
  • Full Australian Working rights
