Underground Fitter

We are seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter with underground mining experience to deliver high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs across our gold mining clients underground and surface infrastructure.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring plant and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, keeping safety and the environment front of mind while maximising asset performance.
About the role:
- Help hit targets by doing regular inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repairs on plant and underground gear.
- Use your solid maintenance know-how to keep downtime to a minimum and production on track.
- Service, repair and install underground dewatering and service water pumps
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair underground pumps, pipelines, and associated mechanical systems
- Relocate pumps as development advances
- Maintain pipelines, valves and other associated infrastructure
- Handle related admin jobs like ordering parts, processing maintenance orders and recording your hours using SAP.
About you:
- Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification
- Valid WA manual C Class Drivers Licence
- Experience in Mechanical Maintenance of underground mining fixed infrastructure
- Previous experience in Maintenance of underground pumps
- Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift Tickets (desirable)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment mining medical and a attain a police clearance (12 months)
- Full Australian Working rights
