Maintenance Planner – Mobile Equipment

Silverstone is currently seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Planner to join a mining operation in Western Australia on a contract basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

This is a hands-on planning role focused on keeping the light vehicle fleet maintained, available and operating efficiently. You’ll be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing work orders, ensuring parts are available when required, and keeping maintenance information accurate and up to date within Pronto CMMS.

THE ROLE

Working closely with the maintenance and operations teams, you’ll help ensure preventative maintenance is planned and executed effectively, reducing reactive work and unnecessary equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and scheduling light vehicle maintenance activities
  • Creating, managing and progressing work orders through Pronto CMMS
  • Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules
  • Coordinating the procurement and availability of parts and materials
  • Maintaining accurate asset history, maintenance records and work management data
  • Liaising with maintenance personnel and operations to minimise equipment downtime
  • Monitoring upcoming maintenance requirements and ensuring work is appropriately prioritised
  • Supporting ongoing maintenance strategies to improve fleet reliability
  • Providing clear visibility of maintenance activities and performance through accurate CMMS data

ABOUT YOU

  • A Mechanical trade qualification, fitter or heavy/light vehicle mechanic
  • Previous maintenance planning experience within the mining industry
  • Experience working with mobile plant, light vehicle fleets 
  • NPI/Gensets experience planning for the operation, maintenance schedules, and fuel/emissions tracking for generator sets
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Experience using Pronto 
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with maintenance and operations teams
  • A strong focus on accuracy, reliability and meeting deadlines
