Mechanical Fitter (Underground Fixed Plant)

Silverstone are seeking underground infrastructure experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter’s to deliver high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs across our gold mining client’s underground infrastructure including including dewatering pumps, ventilation fans, crushers, conveyors, paste fill systems, compressed air, hydraulic systems, pipework/reticulation, pumps, gearboxes, drives and associated rotating equipment

Duties:

• Help hit targets by doing regular inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repairs on plant and underground gear.
• Install, maintain, and repair underground pumps, valves, pipelines, and associated mechanical systems
• Relocate underground pumps as development advances
• Maintain pipelines, valves and other associated infrastructure
• Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience on fixed plant equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections of machinery and fixed plant including preventative measures and condition reporting.

About you:

• Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification
• Valid WA manual C Class Drivers Licence
• Experience working in gold/copper/nickel mining is desirable
• Previous experience in the maintenance of Underground fixed plant & infrastructure including dewatering pumps, ventilation fans, crushers, conveyors, paste fill systems, compressed air, hydraulic systems, pipework/reticulation, pumps, gearboxes, drives and associated rotating equipment
• Crane, Dogging, EWP and Forklift Tickets (desirable)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment mining medical
• Ability to attain a police clearance (12 months)
• Full Australian Working rights

The Offer:

• $85/hr + Super paid on all hours
• 8/6 days 7/7 nights; FIFO ex Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie
