Electrical Supervisor – Underground
Silverstone is seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Supervisor to join a well-established underground gold operation in Western Australia. This is a permanent FIFO opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong underground maintenance background who is committed to safety, reliability and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Underground Electrical team to safely execute planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Coordinate daily maintenance schedules to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory requirements, site procedures and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support for fault finding across underground mobile plant and mine infrastructure.
- Assist with shutdown planning, scheduling and execution.
- Develop and mentor electricians and apprentices, promoting a strong safety and performance culture.
- Monitor maintenance performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Mining and Planning teams to achieve operational targets.
- Ensure maintenance records, inspections and statutory documentation are completed accurately.
About You
- WA Electrical Workers Licence.
- Previous experience in an Underground Electrical Supervisor or Leading Hand role.
- Strong underground mining maintenance experience.
- Experience maintaining underground mobile equipment and electrical infrastructure.
- Current S26 WA Supervisor Certificate.
- HV switching experience highly regarded.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
