We are seeking an experienced Facilities professional to join the team for the remainder of 2026, with a genuine opportunity to transition into a permanent position in 2027.
Working on an attractive 8 days on/6 days off roster, this is a dayshift-only role with flights operating Monday to Monday. You will work alongside a permanent B2B partner and report directly to the Site Lead, providing leadership and coordination across critical site services.
About the Role:
As the Facilities Coordinator, you will oversee a team of four direct reports, including 2x Site Bus Drive and 2 x Aerodrome Reporting Officers (AROs)
You will play a key role in ensuring high standards across village services, contractor performance, aerodrome operations, and site transport — while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall FIFO workforce experience.
Key Responsibilities Village & Facilities Operations
- Oversee the performance of village services contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of catering, cleaning, accommodation, and maintenance services
- Monitor contractor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive proactive issue resolution
- Engage with site personnel to understand feedback and deliver meaningful improvements to “camp life”
- Lead initiatives focused on improving service delivery, operational efficiency, and site presentation
Aerodrome Operations
- Coordinate Aerodrome Reporting Officers to ensure inspections, reporting, and daily activities meet CASA, WHS, and company requirements
- Support flight operations by coordinating movements, changes, delays, and disruptions effectively
- Work closely with logistics, shutdown, and site administration teams to align aviation activities with operational requirements
Site Transport & Bus Services
- Provide leadership and coordination to ensure safe and reliable transport services across site
- Manage passenger transfers between the aerodrome, village, and operational areas
- Support site transport and utility activities to ensure priorities are delivered safely and efficiently
You will be a proactive and hands-on Facilities professional with experience supporting remote operations and a passion for creating a positive workforce environment.
You will bring:
- Trade qualification, Diploma in Facilities Management, or demonstrated facilities coordination experience
- 3+ years’ experience in facilities, village, or camp coordination within mining or remote operations
- Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) Skill Set (AVISS00053)
- Experience managing contractors and service providers
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety compliance (preferred)
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and CMMS systems (SAP experience highly regarded)
- Current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence (HR licence preferred)
