Silverstone is actively seeking highly skilled and experienced Electricians with gold processing experience to cater to our clients’ requirements in the thriving WA mining and resources sector. This opportunity will commence on a casual basis with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installations on fixed plant equipment (processing plant, crushers, conveyors, mills, pumps, etc.)
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems and instrumentation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and site safety procedures
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with schedules
- Assist with commissioning and project work as required
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
- Valid WA Electrical Licence
- Current CPR/LVR certification
- Previous experience in maintaining a processing plant (ideally Gold/Copper/Nickel etc)
- High regard for safety and hazard awareness
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with HV switching (preferred but not essential)
- Instrumentation experience (advantageous)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and site inductions
