We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Permit Officer to join a well-established gold mining operation in the Kalgoorlie–Boulder region.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a site-based role supporting a high-performing operational team, ensuring all permitting and isolation processes are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with site standards.

About the Role:
As the Permit Officer, you will play a key role in supporting safe work execution across site operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and issuing permits to work, ensuring compliance with isolation procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with site requirements.
You will work closely with maintenance, operations, and shutdown teams to ensure all high-risk activities are properly controlled and authorised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue, review, and manage permits to work across operational and maintenance activities
- Ensure all isolations and control measures are in place prior to work commencement
- Liaise with supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams to verify safe work conditions
- Maintain accurate records of permits, isolations, and associated documentation
- Support compliance with site safety systems, procedures, and statutory requirements
- Participate in risk assessments, JHAs, and pre-start meetings as required
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all HSE standards
About You:
- Previous experience in a Permit Officer, Control Room, or HSE/Operations support role (mining or heavy industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of isolation procedures and permit-to-work systems
- High attention to detail and strong administrative accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Commitment to safety and compliance at all times
