Our client is seeking a qualified plumber with reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment experience to join their Lithium Processing operation in the Pilbara.
This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on tradesperson who enjoys a diverse role combining water treatment operations, fault finding and practical maintenance activities across a processing environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the site’s reverse osmosis water treatment facilities while supporting general plumbing and infrastructure requirements across the plant. The role will involve ensuring reliable treated water supply for processing operations, completing routine plant checks, monitoring performance, and carrying out repairs and replacements of PVC pipework, valves and fittings.
This position will suit a plumber who enjoys working in an operational environment and wants to utilise both trade skills and process plant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor reverse osmosis water treatment plant equipment
- Complete routine plant inspections, water quality sampling and operational checks
- Monitor plant performance through HMI and SCADA systems
- Maintain accurate operational records and daily reporting
- Troubleshoot water treatment plant issues and escalate where required
- Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance including PVC pipework, fittings, valves and associated components
- Replace and repair damaged piping systems to maintain plant reliability
- Complete routine plant tasks including membrane cleans (CIP), filter changes and housekeeping activities
- Coordinate larger maintenance requirements with mechanical and electrical teams
- Support plant improvement projects and operational initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualified plumber (Australian recognised)
- Previous experience with reverse osmosis water treatment systems (essential)
- Experience working within mining, processing or a similar industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of PVC pipework, fittings, valves and plumbing systems
- Ability to troubleshoot practical issues and complete repairs independently
- Experience using or monitoring SCADA/HMI systems (desirable)
- Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively as part of a site team
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Full Australian working rights
