We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a high-performing gold mine owner operator delivering a diverse portfolio of brownfield and greenfield capital projects within a mining operation.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the development and execution of critical infrastructure projects, working alongside operations, engineering, and project delivery teams to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project outcomes.
About the Role:
Reporting into the Projects team, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe delivery of capital projects across a range of civil and infrastructure works.
You will act as the key interface between contractors, consultants, operations, maintenance, and site stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of brownfield and greenfield capital projects
- Coordinate construction activities across civil and multidisciplinary work scopes
- Oversee contractor performance, safety, quality, and project execution
- Support project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, NCRs, and design changes
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities
- Drive strong stakeholder engagement across site operations and project teams
- Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong civil construction experience within mining, resources, infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects
- Extensive experience working with concrete construction and batch plant operations
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors and EPCM delivery partners
- Sound understanding of QA requirements and MDR compilation
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and mining industry regulations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment

- Gold mining project experience
- Roads, solar farms, or process plant construction experience
- CAPEX project development and study experience
- Exposure to EPCM project delivery environments
- Strong technical leadership and project coordination capabilities
