Silverstone are partnering with a well-backed gold developer to secure an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor for a permanent opportunity on one of Western Australia’s most exciting new gold projects.
You will play a key role in the development of the Youanmi Gold Mine—a 100%-owned, high-grade project in the Murchison region, set to become one of WA’s standout gold operations.
This isn’t just another site-based environmental role — you’ll be joining during a critical construction and development phase, giving you genuine influence over systems, standards, and long-term environmental performance.
You’ll work closely with a highly regarded leadership team, reporting directly to the Manager – Environment & Sustainability, and be part of shaping the environmental function from the ground up.
As the Senior Environmental Advisor, you’ll provide hands-on support across environmental compliance, monitoring, and performance during construction and into operations.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting environmental approvals, compliance, and reporting
- Implementing and maintaining environmental management systems
- Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Managing environmental monitoring programs
- Working closely with operations, contractors, and stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement across environmental performance
What we’re looking for
- 5-7+ years’ experience in environmental roles within mining
- Strong knowledge of WA environmental legislation and approvals processes
- Experience in construction and/or project development phases highly regarded
- Ability to operate autonomously in a site-based role
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A practical, hands-on approach with a focus on outcomes
