Silverstone are seeking experienced Underground Electricians to support our gold mining clients across Western Australia.
Your role will involve:
- Maintenance, fault-finding, and installation of underground reticulation (1000V/415V), substations, switchboards, RMUs, motors, VSDs, lighting, dewatering and ventilation systems
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on underground mobile equipment including jumbos, production & diamond drills, and loaders
- Installation, testing, and maintenance of RCT teleremote systems
- HV/LV switching, statutory testing (RCDs, earth leakage), and compliance with AS/NZS standards
- Maintaining electrical schematics, logs, and maintenance records
What we’re looking for:
- WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence and Australian recognised trade
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, or mineral processing (fixed plant preferred)
- Underground electrical experience (highly regarded but not essential)
- High Voltage Switching Ticket (desirable)
- Cert IV in Instrumentation / PLCs (desirable)
- WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Strong safety focus and problem-solving skills
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance
On Offer:
$85/hr + Super paid on all hours, this is a technically diverse and hands-on underground role with excellent site conditions.
