We are currently seeking an mining experienced Trades Assistant/IT Loader Operator – Underground Fixed Plant to join a high-performing underground mining team in the Goldfields region. To be eligible, you must already be Byrnecut inducted and be ticketed to operate an Integrated Tool Carrier.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting essential underground services to ensure safe and continuous mining operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a site with a strong safety culture, modern fleet, and a long mine life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting tradesmen with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground services (ventilation, water, air, power, pump lines)
- Operating tools and equipment including EWP, IT Loader (Integrated Toolcarrier, Forklift and service vehicles
- Supporting trades teams with maintenance tasks and minor repairs
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental procedures
- Reporting hazards, incidents, and breakdowns to supervisors in a timely manner
- Assisting in general underground duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with underground fixed plant systems/ service infrastructure
- Underground Mining experience operating a Integrated Toolcarrier and be ticketed to do so
- Be Byrnecut inducted already
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Current Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
- National Police Clearance (valid within 12 months)
- Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid, and other relevant tickets (highly regarded)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screen
- Full Australian working rights
