This high-profile project combines large-scale renewable and industrial infrastructure, including solar, battery energy storage and hydrogen processing systems, delivering a complex and technically challenging environment for a proven construction leader.

We are seeking a strong relationship-focused leader who can successfully navigate a multi-stakeholder environment, manage contractor performance, and ensure all works are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with contractual and operational requirements.

This role will suit someone who thrives on stakeholder engagement, understands how to balance client expectations with project delivery outcomes, and can confidently lead within a contractor-led construction environment.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will be the senior on-site representative responsible for overseeing construction, commissioning, start-up and handover activities through to operations.

You will work closely with EPC contractors, subcontractors, operational stakeholders and client representatives to ensure seamless site coordination, operational readiness and successful project execution.

This is a site-based position on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, with the project expected to run through late 2026 into early 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong on-site leadership across construction, commissioning and start-up activities
  • Manage daily site operations in collaboration with EPC contractors and subcontractors
  • Ensure works are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual obligations, approved plans and quality standards
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, operations teams and contractors
  • Coordinate operational interfaces including permits, isolations, access requirements and transition into service
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and proactively manage constraints and site issues
  • Ensure compliance with HSE systems, permits, procedures and major hazard facility requirements
  • Support commissioning, pre-start-up safety reviews and handover processes
  • Drive accountability and performance across multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment
  • Contribute to reporting, audits, inspections and governance activities

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience leading industrial construction projects within energy, process plant, mining or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, start-up and operational handover processes
  • Proven ability to manage EPC contractors and subcontractors on large-scale projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across contractors, clients and operations teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to ensure delivery aligns with contractual and client requirements
  • Experience managing operational interfaces, permit-to-work systems and site readiness activities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline

What’s on Offer:

  • Opportunity to work on a landmark renewable energy and hydrogen project
  • Long-term project pipeline through to 2027
  • Senior leadership role with significant stakeholder engagement and site influence
  • FIFO 2:1 roster from Perth
  • Collaborative and high-performing project environment
  • Attractive salary package and long-term career opportunity within the energy transition sector

If you are an experienced site leader who can build strong relationships, manage competing stakeholder expectations and drive successful project outcomes in a complex environment, we would love to hear from you.
