Roster: FIFO from Perth | 8 Days On, 6 Days Off
About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Laboratory Technicians to join a growing gold mining operation in Western Australia. Working within an on-site laboratory, you will play a key role in supporting mining and processing operations through the accurate and timely analysis of grade control and process samples.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse samples using PAL and AAS methods.
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance and calibration.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment.
- Communicate effectively with operational departments including Metallurgy and Geology.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and safety systems are maintained and operational.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous laboratory experience, preferably within a mining or mineral processing environment.
- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Sound computer literacy and data entry skills.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Yes. Silverstone specialises in recruiting experienced professionals. Most of our roles require relevant industry experience, licences, tickets and the ability to work safely in operational environments.
While entry level opportunities may occasionally become available, they are very limited. If you’re looking to start a career in FIFO or enter the industry without relevant experience, we recommend gaining industry qualifications, licences or transferable experience before applying for specialised roles.
