Silverstone are currently seeking experienced Operations Technician’s to join a well-established mining operation in regional Western Australia. This is a hands-on role supporting critical brine infrastructure across a large-scale operational network.
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and optimisation of bores, pipelines, pumping systems, and associated equipment. This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys working in remote environments, takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, and thrives on solving operational challenges in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, remove, inspect, maintain, and repair bores, pipelines, and associated infrastructure
- Conduct daily inspections, routine maintenance activities, and complete accurate operational reporting
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform both planned and reactive operational tasks
- Safely operate machinery and mobile equipment in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer guidelines
- Identify and report hazards, defects, incidents, and non-conformances while actively participating in site safety initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives that enhance operational performance and reliability
- Maintain high housekeeping and environmental standards across the work area
We’re looking for:
- A safety-focused and motivated operator who takes ownership of your work and enjoys contributing to a high-performing team environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating and maintaining brine systems within a mining or industrial environment
- Current WA HR Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Loader, Telehandler, Excavator, Dogman and Basic Rigging tickets (or ability to obtain)
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
- Experience using Pronto or similar maintenance management systems
- Sound knowledge of brine operations, submersible pumps, and HDPE pipeline systems
- Experience working with pressurised pumping and conveyance infrastructure
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence
