We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major mining infrastructure project delivering critical Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) works onsite.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with strong mining infrastructure experience to play a key role across the delivery of HME workshops, portable offices and associated site infrastructure projects.
Offering a long-term contract opportunity with strong project continuity, this role will suit a hands-on and driven engineer who thrives in fast-paced site-based environments.
The Opportunity:
Working closely with site operations, construction and project teams, you will lead the coordination and delivery of multiple infrastructure workstreams from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover.
Key Project Scope
- NPI infrastructure
- HME workshop construction and fit-out
- Portable office and accommodation installations
- Utilities and associated site infrastructure
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate delivery of infrastructure projects across multiple work fronts
- Manage project execution including planning, scheduling, procurement and commissioning
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical and electrical interfaces onsite
- Monitor project progress, budgets, forecasts and reporting requirements
- Review engineering drawings, technical queries and contractor documentation
- Coordinate procurement activities and equipment delivery schedules
- Liaise with operations and maintenance teams to minimise disruption to site activities
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and QA/QC requirements
- Oversee installation and commissioning of workshops, offices and associated utilities
- Drive contractor performance and project outcomes onsite
- Prepare progress reports, handover documentation and project updates for senior leadership
About You:
- Degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
- Strong experience delivering mining infrastructure and NPI projects
- Previous experience working on HME workshops, buildings or site infrastructure highly regarded
- Proven ability managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary projects onsite
- Strong understanding of construction execution, commissioning and project controls
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a site-based FIFO environment
