Silverstone are currently recruiting a mining experienced A Grade Electrician for a well-established gold mining operation in the Goldfields.
 
About the Role:
 
As a Fixed Plant Electrician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across the processing plant and associated infrastructure. You’ll work within a supportive and safety-focused team environment to ensure optimal plant performance and compliance with site standards.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform electrical maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installations on fixed plant equipment (gold processing plant, crushers, conveyors, mills, pumps, etc.)
  • Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems 
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and site safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks in line with schedules
  • Assist with commissioning and project work as required
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

What We’re Looking For

  • A Grade Electrician with a current WA Electrical Licence
  • Proven fixed plant electrical maintenance experience within mining or mineral processing, gold experience is desirable
  • Experience across crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, motors and associated plant equipment
  • Confident electrical fault finding and diagnostics
  • Experience with VSDs, instrumentation and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience working safely within an operational processing environment
  • PLC/SCADA experience highly regarded
  • HV switching experience highly regarded
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Strong safety focus and a practical, hands-on approach
  • Current CPR/LVR
  • National Police Clearance
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and site inductions
  • Full Australian working rights
