  • 19 May, 2026

We are currently seeking a mining experienced, S26 qualified Electrical Supervisor to join a remote gold mining operation supporting both established site infrastructure and upcoming expansion projects. This is a rare hybrid leadership role combining operational electrical oversight, NPI/facilities infrastructure, and greenfields project delivery.

Working across an established accommodation village and operational hub, you will oversee diesel generation, electrical reticulation, maintenance programs, and infrastructure upgrades. You will also support the construction and commissioning of a new satellite camp and operations centre. This role suits someone who enjoys being technically engaged while leading teams in a remote environment, and who wants genuine ownership over site power and infrastructure systems.

What’s on Offer

  • Electrical Statutory Supervisor appointment with full site compliance ownership
  • Greenfields project exposure alongside operational infrastructure management
  • Long-term ownership of site power systems including diesel generation and reticulation

Key Duties

  • Act as site Electrical Statutory Supervisor (S26)
  • Lead electricians, subcontractors, and electrical maintenance activities
  • Oversee diesel generation and site power distribution systems
  • Manage electrical upgrades across camp and operational infrastructure
  • Support greenfields construction and commissioning of new facilities
  • Liaise with engineering and project teams on delivery and planning
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and site safety systems

About You

  • Current A-Grade Electrical Licence
  • Electrical Contractor Licence
  • Section 26 qualification (essential)
  • Experience acting as Electrical Statutory Supervisor
  • Experience in remote mining, gold mining experience is desirable
  • Strong background in power generation and reticulation systems
  • Proven ability supervising trades and managing contractors
  • Strong safety focus and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to get a national police clearance as this is a gold mine

Highly Regarded

  • Electrical Engineering qualifications or extensive technical trade experience
  • Exposure to both greenfields and brownfields projects
  • PLC / SCADA / industrial automation experience
  • HV switching qualifications

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior autonomous role where you will own site electrical systems across both operational and development phases. It’s not purely maintenance, and it’s not purely construction – it’s a true hybrid role spanning NPI, utilities, operations, and project delivery.

You’ll be the go-to electrical authority onsite, with real influence over infrastructure outcomes and long-term site development. If you’re looking for a varied leadership role with technical depth, autonomy, and long-term project exposure in a remote environment, we’d like to hear from you.
