Silverstone are seeking experienced BHP inducted Dewatering Electricians to join our client BHP Iron Ore at one of their operations in the Pilbara. 
 
Working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth (day shift only), you’ll play a key role maintaining critical dewatering and power generation equipment to maximise equipment reliability, productivity and safety across site.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical maintenance, servicing and repairs on dewatering pumps, diesel generators and associated trailers
  • Fault finding on motors, VSDs/VFDs, MCCs, switchboards and control circuits
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning of pumps and electrical systems
  • Maintenance and calibration of dewatering instrumentation including flow meters, level controllers and pressure transducers
  • Carry out statutory compliance testing and preventative maintenance
  • Complete scheduled maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs
  • Create 1SAP notifications for repair and preventative maintenance activities
  • Assist with root cause analysis, reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Update maintenance procedures and support 5S and safety improvement projects
  • Work closely with mechanical and operations teams to maintain reliable dewatering systems

Key Requirements

  • WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
  • Previous experience as a Dewatering Electrician on a mine site
  • BHP site experience and current BHP induction highly regarded
  • Proven dewatering and pump maintenance experience
  • Experience working on diesel generators 
  • Experience with electrical instrumentation including flow meters, pressure transducers and level controls
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • White Card
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Full Australian working rights

  • Dogman Ticket
  • Working at Heights
  • EWP Ticket
  • Experience with bore installations
