Silverstone is a dynamic Western Australian business providing integrated Power, Water, Survey and Recruitment solutions to the mining, resources, construction and infrastructure sectors. Founded in 2017, Silverstone has grown through a commitment to safety, quality, innovation and genuine industry expertise, supporting complex projects across Australia.
Silverstone are now looking for a WHS Manager to provide strategic oversight across multiple projects, business units and regions, ensuring WHS systems, critical risk frameworks and assurance activities are consistently embedded and delivering real results.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll sit at the intersection of WHS governance and operational execution, working with leaders across the business to strengthen systems, challenge performance, identify systemic risks and drive continuous improvement.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll play a key role in providing WHS leadership, governance and assurance across multiple projects, business units and regions.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders and the wider WHS team to ensure systems, risk frameworks and critical controls are consistently applied and delivering meaningful outcomes.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the consistent implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems across the business, identifying gaps and ensuring practical solutions are embedded.
- Providing oversight of critical risks and controls, ensuring verification activities are effective and systemic weaknesses are identified and addressed.
- Coordinating audits, inspections, investigations and assurance activities, consolidating performance data and providing clear, evidence-based insights to senior leadership.
- Leading, coaching and developing the WHS Lead, while supporting capability uplift and consistent standards across the wider WHS function.
- Overseeing incident investigations, corrective actions and organisational learning to identify trends and prevent recurring issues.
- Building strong relationships with operational leaders, clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders, providing practical guidance while constructively challenging where required.
- Supporting the development of WHS capability, succession planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Acting as the key link between WHS governance and operational delivery, ensuring expectations are aligned without taking ownership away from operational leaders.
To be successful for this role, you’ll bring:
- Diploma in Work Health & Safety
- ICAM Lead Investigator – BSBWHS515 or equivalent
- Tertiary qualification in OSH, WHS or a related discipline
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent
- Lead Auditor qualification
- 5–10 years’ WHS/OSH experience within a high-risk industry such as mining, construction or utilities
- Demonstrated experience overseeing WHS across multiple projects, sites or regions
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and assurance frameworks
- Proven experience leading audits, incident investigations, corrective actions and assurance activities
- Strong capability in developing and implementing WHS risk management frameworks, procedures and tools
- The confidence to influence, challenge and coach leaders at all levels
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to translate governance into operational outcomes
- Strong analytical and reporting capability with a focus on identifying trends and systemic issues
If you’re an experienced WHS leader who wants to make an impact at a broader level, we’d love to hear from you.

Questions About Applying?
Whether you’re actively looking for your next role or simply exploring what’s available, here are some of the questions we’re most commonly asked by experienced candidates.
What types of roles does Silverstone recruit for?
We recruit experienced professionals across five specialist teams:
- Trades & Dewatering
- Underground Mining
- Mining, Civil & Transport
- Processing, Crushing & Metallurgy
- White Collar
Our opportunities include FIFO, residential, contract and permanent positions across Western Australia.
Do I need previous industry experience?
Yes. Silverstone specialises in recruiting experienced professionals. Most of our roles require relevant industry experience, licences, tickets and the ability to work safely in operational environments.
While entry level opportunities may occasionally become available, they are very limited. If you’re looking to start a career in FIFO or enter the industry without relevant experience, we recommend gaining industry qualifications, licences or transferable experience before applying for specialised roles.
Can I apply if there isn't a role that matches my experience today?
Absolutely. If you don’t find a suitable opportunity, submit your resume and register your interest. Our consultants regularly contact candidates when new roles become available that align with their experience.
How do I know which roles are right for me?
Our consultants review your experience and help identify opportunities that best suit your background, qualifications and career goals. We focus on quality matches rather than simply filling vacancies.
Will I receive feedback after applying?
Where possible, our consultants provide updates throughout the recruitment process. If you’re shortlisted for a role, we’ll guide you through interviews, compliance, mobilisation and onboarding while keeping you informed every step of the way.
