An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced S26 Qualified SMP Supervisor to join a growing lithium operation in Western Australia. This role will support the delivery of sustaining capital, debottlenecking, and process plant upgrade projects within an operational fixed plant environment.
 
A key focus of the role is supervising major shutdowns occurring every six weeks, ensuring SMP works are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact to production. You will coordinate site execution activities across shutdowns and brownfields projects, leading contractors and trades teams to deliver safe and successful outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise SMP works including structural steel, piping, mechanical installation, and brownfields modifications.
  • Coordinate shutdown execution activities including contractor supervision, work sequencing, and daily planning.
  • Support sustaining capital, debottlenecking, and fixed plant upgrade projects across the operation.
  • Oversee maintenance and installation works involving conveyors, crushers, pumps, tanks, chutes, and rotating equipment.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, permits, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to minimise downtime and production impacts.
  • Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and schedule adherence.
  • Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings, and field safety interactions.

About You

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking, or related discipline.
  • Strong SMP supervisory experience within mining or minerals processing environments.
  • Proven shutdown experience within operational fixed plant environments.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and structural steel experience.
  • Experience supervising contractors across sustaining capital or brownfields projects.
  • Sound understanding of shutdown planning, permit systems, and construction sequencing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills in FIFO environments.
  • WA Section 26 qualification (essential)
  • WA Manual Driver’s Licence
